Become a Volunteer

We encourage and help the women of Cornerstone grow a vision to succeed regardless of the obstacles life has put in their path. These mothers face tremendous challenges that can have a profound lasting impact on their children. The struggle to provide a stable home and necessities such as food, clothing, shelter, and childcare can be overwhelming. In addition, they day to day pressures of raising a child leaves little opportunity to focus on the future and work toward a better life.

There are plenty of opportunities to become a volunteer at Cornerstone! We can use mentors, life coaches, tutors, daily shift workers, drivers, babysitters, or any other skills you may be willing to donate to the program. If you are interested in volunteering your time to the program, take some time to learn about some of the specific volunteers we are in need of. If you feel you would be a good fit for one or more of these roles, use this contact form to submit your information. You will be contacted shortly to arrange a meeting with our Assistant Director.

All volunteers will be required to:

• Meet with the Assistant Director, Cathy Kavanaugh.
• Consent to a background check if you are 18 years or older.
• Attend a volunteer training session before working in the home.
• Honor their commitment. If you are on shift work, you will need to call a substitute to cover your shift if you can not be there.
